Group researching Putnam County aviation history

Thursday, November 3, 2011

The Putnam County Museum is working with a research group that is investigating the aviation history of Putnam County.

The group is primarily focusing on the history of the Putnam County Airport.

The museum is currently looking for anyone interested in joining or assisting this research endeavor.

Participants interested in joining the research group would help find additional information about Putnam County aviation history.

The museum is also seeking anyone who is willing to share any information they know about aviation history. This may include personal stories, documents or any other type of information relevant to the flight history of Putnam County.

The airport group will be meeting next month (5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17 at the museum) and is hoping to expand its participation.

For more information about participation in the research group, please contact Museum Executive Director Tanis Monday 653-8419 or tanis@putnamcountymuseum.org.
