Driving disaster

At 4:20 p.m. police investigated a car crash at 4593 E. State Rd. 240 near the Putnam County Humane Society. Bryan Hassler, 34, lost control of the car going westbound and hit a utility pole, which casued the 2007 Chevy Prizm to flip over. Hassler was taken to Putnam County Hospital with minor injuries. Gregg Slover was the officer on the case with help from Seniour Wrecker in Greencastle.

  • some people need to realize that some of the turns on 240 are slick sometimes and need to slow down, just how fast was he running anyway? it doesnt say how fast he was traveling

  • Yes, there are a lot of slick corners on that road, even in the rain. Also a lot of small hills which, in the wind and rain, can easily cause your vehicle to move around and lose grip.
