Maxine Morrison, 94, Dallas, Texas, passed away on Nov. 11, 2011.

She was born on June 15, 1917, in Cloverdale, Ind., to Louis Franklin Morrison and Norma Elizabeth Cunningham.

She graduated from Indiana State Teachers College and worked for FDIC, GAO and the Post Office Department in Washington, D.C., Asheville, N.C, and Dallas, Texas.

She enjoyed sports, both as a participant and spectator. She bowled for many years.

After early retirement in 1971 she traveled abroad (various parts of Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and China), and to Hawaii, Alaska, New Foundland, and in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Maxine did genealogical research and visited courthouses, libraries and cemeteries in Virginia, North Carolina, Indiana and Tennessee.

She is survived by several cousins, including Carolyn Cunningham, Indianapolis, James Cromwell and wife Jean, Cloverdale, and many friends, including Martha Shaw, Dallas, Texas.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 at the Cloverdale Cemetery. Interment will be in the Cloverdale Cemetery.
