Two recent arrests were reported by Greencastle City Police.

-- At 12:39 a.m. Tuesday, Ryan Crist, 30, Greencastle, was arrested on five separate charges at the Greencastle Inn by Officer Eric Vaughan.

The suspect reportedly started a fight with Matt Huffman, an off-duty city officer, who was on the scene.

Crist, who was lodged in the Putnam County Jail, is facing charges of battery on law enforcement, resisting law enforcement, disorderly conduct/disturbing the peace, public intoxication and probation violation.

-- At 11:30 p.m. Monday, Angela Sanders, 33, Greencastle, was arrested following a two-vehicle accident at Wood and Washington streets.

Sanders was lodged in the Putnam County Jail on charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxication, public intoxication and probation violation.

She registered .162 percent under blood-alcohol testing.

The accident occurred as a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country van, driven by Lori Mitchell, 50, Greencastle, had stopped at the stoplight at Wood and Washington when it was struck from behind by Sanders' 2001 Oldsmobile.

Total damage in the accident was estimated at $5,000-$10,000.

A two-vehicle accident was reported at 5:51 p.m. Sunday on Indianapolis Road.

Jerry Stewart, 44, Bloomington, was stopped eastbound on Indianapolis Road at Warren Drive, driving a 2003 Jeep Liberty, when her vehicle was rear-ended by an eastbound 2006 Chrysler Pacifica driven by Joyce O'Brien, 59, Greencastle.

O'Brien told Officer Darrel Bunten her brakes failed to stop her car due to wet road conditions.

Total damage was listed at $2,500-$5,000.

Another two-vehicle mishap was reported at 4:04 p.m. Nov. 23 on East Walnut Street.

Officer Bunten reported that a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer, driven by Joy O'Hair, 54, Greencastle, had stopped behind another vehicle near College Avenue when her Chevrolet was struck from behind by a 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser, driven by Rhonda Crain, 58, Greencastle.

Total damage was listed at $1,000-$2,500.
