Jaws of Life

Floyd Township Fire Department and Five Alarm, a fire product supplier, sponsored a basic auto extrication class at Floyd Township Fire Department. Fire departments from Floyd Township, Roachdale, Bainbridge, Madison Township, Reelsville and Bellmore participated in the free training. Training involved stabilizing, then removing the car from around a patient using hydraulic tools. Different techniques were taught by the Five Alarm instructors Jeremy Ware and Josh Westrch. Students received classroom and hands on instruction. Area residents, Eric Davis Towing and Woody's Auto Parts supplied autos for the class.
