Thursday, January 12, 2012

The South Putnam High School Interact Club will have a Hoops-for-Troops night on Friday, Jan. 13 during the boys' and girls' varsity basketball games against Greencastle at SPHS.

The Interact Club would like fans from both teams to bring a donation to the game for care packages to send to our troops overseas.

Items needed include individual sports drink mixes, Kool-Aid or lemonade, pens, pencils, stationery, balls, DVDs, CDs, books, playing cards, puzzle books, Ziploc bags, white or black socks, individually wrapped toothbrushes, toothpaste, sun block, antibacterial wipes, bar soap, deodorant, chapstick, dusting cloths and individually wrapped snack foods like hard candy, beef jerky, gum, granola bars, crackers and cookies.

The girls' varsity game will start at 6 p.m. with the boys' varsity game at 7:30 p.m.

There will be donation boxes in the commons area for fans to drop off donations as they enter.
