George S. Burnett Sr., 70, Clayton, died Jan. 25, 2012.

He was born Sept. 12, 1941 to Tole and Berniece (Gasper) Burnett Sr.

George owned and operated Burnett's Service Station in Clayton for 23 years, from 1972-1995.

He then was employed by the Mill Creek School Corporation in Clayton as a custodian from 1998 until retiring in 2009.

Survivors include a son, George (Mindy) Burnett Jr., Clayton; three daughters, Barbara (Jim) Navarrette, Clayton, Teresa (Darrell) Jackson, Danville, and Vicki (Jason) Kehrein, Clayton; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Tole Burnett Jr., Greencastle, and Richard and Jimmy Burnett, both of Danville; and a sister, Helen Armour, Hazelwood.

Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28 at Weaver and Randolph Funeral Home, Clayton, with visitation there 4-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27.

Burial will be in Clayton Cemetery.
