Forest Dale Hedge, 80, of Roachdale passed away Sunday morning, March 11, 2012 at Hendricks Regional Health.

He was born on July 22, 1931 at Ladoga to Harry and Olive May Morphew Hedge.

He married Patricia Cloncs on June 18, 1955 at Roachdale, and she passed away on May 17, 2004.

He worked for IBM Corp. at Greencastle for 33 years and 7 months, where he was a forklift operator when the plant closed.

He served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War.

He was a member of the Montgomery County Woodworkers and the International Wood Collectors Society.

Survivors include two sons, Roger (Cindy) Hedge of Peoria, Ariz., and Dennis (Debbie) Hedge of Waynetown; a daughter, Brenda (John) Nelson of Savannah, Ga.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Howard (Lela) Hedge of Roachdale and James (Emily) Hedge of Ladoga.

He was preceded by four brothers, Estel, Maynard, Paul and Herman Hedge, and a sister, Virginia Ruth Hedge.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 15 at Servies and Morgan Funeral Home, 102 E. Washington St., Roachdale.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at Roachdale Cemetery. Rev. Alan Small will officiate.

Memorials may be made to a choice of the Kidney Foundation, Heart Association or the Lung Association.
