Mini Farm Fest

Monday, March 12, 2012
Ag econ speeches and awards ceremonies are fine for grown-ups, but the real fun at Ag Day started later with baby ducks and Dixie Choppers. Mini Farm Fest filled the second half of Saturday's festivities, introducing kids to corn shelling, sheep shearing, a variety of farm equipment and animals to pet that included dairy calves, ducks and chickens. Emma Evans (above) and Aiden Beadles (directly below) got to know the ducklings, while Mackinley Heavin (bottom) learned the finer points of a locally-made zero-turn radius mower.
