Benetta O. Collins

Benetta O. Collins, 64, of Greencastle, passed away at her residence on Monday, March 12, 2012.

Born April 6, 1947 in Greencastle, she was the daughter of Wilbur and Opal F. (Frazier) Burk.

A 1965 graduate of Greencastle High School, she married Joseph L. Collins on Oct. 29, 1973, and he survives.

Benetta had been a cashier with the McClure and Citgo stations, McDonald's, and had worked at various nursing homes for 24 years.

She was a member of the Hanna Street Baptist Church, Greencastle Eagles and the Family Redionus Group (FAM) with the U.S. Army.

Survivors include her husband and her aunt, Dora Burk of Greencastle.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 16 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Rev. Patrick Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Hanna Street Baptist Church, 501 E. Hanna St. Greencastle, IN 46135.
