Irene B. Van Lieu

Irene B. Van Lieu, 89, of Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Mill Pond Health Campus.

She was born Feb. 13, 1923 in Estel, Ky., the daughter of John Zambenini and Anna Marietta-Zambenini.

Irene was a 1941 graduate of Otter Creek High School. She was a retired bookkeeper from Shell Oil Company and a member of Scottish Rite Masons N.M.J., Valley of Indianapolis.

Survivors include brother George Zambenini of Rosedale, godson Seth H. Mishler of Greencastle and several nieces, nephews and cousins

She was preceded in death by her husband Lyle Van Lieu on June 29, 2005 and sister Edith M. Callecod on Aug. 2, 2009.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2012 at Roselawn Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Terre Haute, with Pastor Rick Thomas officiating.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. at Roselawn Chapel of Memories.

Giovanini Funeral Home, Clinton, is in charge of arrangements.
