MHAPC seeks award nominees

Mental Health America of Putnam County is soliciting nominations from community members for its annual awards for Person of the Year and Educator of the Year.

The Mental Health America Person of the Year Award recognizes an individual in the community who has shown outstanding dedication to improving mental health and wellness of individuals and families and who tirelessly promotes the mission of Mental Health America of Putnam County.

The Mental Health America Educator of the Year Award recognizes an educator in Putnam County who has demonstrated outstanding dedication to the mental health and wellness of children, families and fellow education professionals.

All nominations should be sent to the MHAPC office at 10 1/2 N. Jackson St., Greencastle, IN 46135 or mhapc2@cinergymetro.net no later than Friday, April 13.

Recipients of the Person of the Year Award in past years have been Lisa Bishop, Linda Mann, Patti Harmless and Marj Peeler.

Recipients of the Educator of the Year honor have been Troy and Becky Greenlee, John Moore, Karen Hamm and Mary Jane Scamahorn and Anita Edenfield.

The awards will be presented at the May annual meeting at the Putnam County Museum. The date will be announced at a later time. In addition to the awards, there will be a program and refreshments will be served.
