Marilyn Bob Hunt Hoover

Marilyn Bob Hunt Hoover, 89, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012 in Sun City, Fla.

She was born Feb. 3, 1923 to Clyde and America Blanche Hunt in Fort Worth, Texas.

She married William Benjamin Hoover. They were longtime residents of Greencastle, where they raised their four children.

Marilyn worked for Dr. James B. Johnson for several years. She volunteered more than 10,000 hours at the Good Samaritan Hospital. She was a member of Delta Theta Tau sorority for more than 50 years. She was also a member of Sherwood Christian Church before moving to Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen DeProsero and husband Gary of Port Charlotte, Fla. and Phyllis Hoover of Ruskin, Fla.; two sons, Bill Hoover and wife Dona of San Francisco, Calif. and Scott Hoover and wife Patti of Greencastle; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held in Sun City. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Delta Theta Tau, c/o Naomi Johnson, 1231 S. Fenbrook Lane, Bloomington, IN 47401.
