Bonita Hadley, 93, Eminence, passed away on April 10, 2012, at the Mill Pond Health Campus, Greencastle.

She was born on Nov. 12, 1918 at Centerton, Ind., and was the daughter of the late William and Rachel (Culver) Lehr.

She married S. G. "Sam" Hadley on Dec. 12, 1935, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 9, 1979.

She was a member of the Eminence Baptist Church where she served as pianist for many years.

She worked as a ward clerk and also volunteered in the Cancer Unit of the Morgan County Hospital and was a cook at Eminence High School.

She loved working in her garden and flowers.

She is survived by her children, Judy Whitaker Finney and husband Richard L., Eminence, Treva Haley, Eminence, and Eric Hadley and wife Lisa, Cynthiana, Ky.; her sister, Violet Priest, Columbus; nine grandchildren, two step-grandchildren,15 great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and seven step-great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 15 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 14 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Shumaker Cemetery, Eminence.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Beth Ellen Hadley; her son, William Hadley; and her sister, Delores Hatter.
