North Putnam junior Jameson Brewer recently took part in the POSTYOURT East/West All-Star game. In two games, Brewer scored 51 points for the East squad.

In game 2 on April 28, Brewer scored 21 points to help the East team defeat the West 116-108. Although the East pulled out an eight-point win, the game was a close one throughout.

The West pulled within four points at 112-108 with 20.2 seconds remaining after the team scored nine straight points. However, the East scored the final two baskets to hang on for the win.

Brewer scored 21 points for the East, including three three-point field goals. In the final game of the day, Brewer poured in 30 points. For his efforts, Brewer has been invited to participate in the Indiana vs. Ohio basketball game in July.

"It was a lot of fun to come here today (April 28) and play against really good competition," Brewer said. "Everybody got to play a lot, which is good in an All-Star game. Everybody can shoot and score."

Also taking part in the POSTYOURT East/West All-Star game was Cloverdale's Mitch Williams. Williams scored eight points for a West squad that fell 122-95.
