Eagles softball blanks Carmel

CARMEL -- The South Putnam softball team defeated Carmel 2-0 on the road Tuesday.

The Eagles, ranked No. 1 in class 2A, blanked the Class 4A Greyhounds with Brooke Boejter tossing a complete game shutout. She recorded four strikeouts and gave up two hits.

At the plate, Emily Dabkowski was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run score, with Jenny Thompson going 1-for-2 with an RBI. Brooke Cundiff added a run scored, with Janet Crafton collecting a double on the night.

The Eagle close out their regular season Thursday against Terre Haute North at 6 p.m.
