Greencastle man, 68, accused of molesting two young relatives

Monday, May 21, 2012

A 68-year-old Putnam County man was arrested Friday night on child molesting and related charges following an investigation by Indiana State Police detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division at the Putnamville Post.

Frank Nuz Jr., Greencastle, was arrested Friday night at the Putnamville Post. He was subsequently lodged in the Putnam County Jail, where he is being held without bond pending an initial appearance in court.

Authorities allege Nuz molested two young relatives -- a four-year-old male and nine-year-old female -- on multiple occasions over the past six months.

The alleged illicit acts reportedly occurred at the defendant's residence in Greencastle, ISP investigators said.

The alleged molestations were reported to authorities by the victim's parents on Thursday.

Nuz is being held on two counts of child molesting, a Class A felony; two counts of child molesting, a Class C felony; and one count of child solicitation, a Class D felony.

The case was investigated by State Police Det. Deanna Jones.

Assisting in the case were ISP Detectives First Sgt. Jeff Hearon and Sam Stearley, and officials from the Putnam County Prosecutor's Office.
