First Baptist holds annual spring celebration

First Baptist Church, located at 404 Judson Drive, Greencastle, held their annual Spring Celebration on Saturday, May 19.

The spring celebration is a fun-filled afternoon including many activity such as face painting, a movie and a bounce house provided by Big Bounce Fun House Rentals of Greencastle.

Cotton candy, popcorn, snow cones, gift bags and balloons were available for the 65 children who attended as well as for their parents and grandparents.

Sara Crowe, the spring celebration coordinator and First Baptist's Jesus Jam director said the event was a success.

"We are very pleased with the turn-out, it was a beautiful day and everyone had a wonderful time," Crowe said. "Thanks to everyone who came and especially to everyone who volunteered items and their time to make this day so special."

Along with all of the activities, food and gifts, the children registered for a chance to win door prizes. Six family movie night gift cards from Family Videos of Greencastle were awarded consisting of two movies, cotton candy, popcorn and soda pop, The winners of the family movie night gift cards were Jazlynn Campbell, Shianna Alexander, Caden Clark, Justin Evans, Brandon Glaze and Leah Middleton.

Holton Miller won the second place prize, a gift basket including a "Facing The Giants" DVD, popcorn, peanuts and suckers.

The grand prize, an iPad3 with case, went to Jillian Cooper. The iPad3 was donated by Matrix Integration of Jasper and the case was donated by MidWest Computer Accessories of Indianapolis.
