Lieber SRA to honor National Trails Day June 2

Lieber State Recreation Area will host a "March To The Marsh" hike on June 2 and provide educational information about reservoirs and the reintroduction of the bald eagle in Indiana.

Hikers should meet property staff at Hilltop Shelter at 2 p.m. The hike is to Laughing Deer Marsh and involves a steep hill. It is free and will be canceled in the event of rain.

The hike also involves a predator-prey game. Smokey Bear will be present afterward for bear hugs and paw print face painting.

The standard entrance fee of $5 per in-state vehicle and $7 per out-of-state vehicle applies.
