GMS Retirees Feted

Friday, June 1, 2012

Greencastle Middle School Principal Tamra Walker and GMS Assistant Principal Scott Weltz (left) congratulate retiring teachers Jeff Miller (second from right) and Gary Van Middlesworth during a reception after school recently in the GMS library. Miller is retiring after 38 years as a middle school mathematics teacher, while Van Middlesworth is retiring after 10 years (nine at GMS) as a science teacher. Not pictured is the shy and retiring Margaret Huggard, who is retiring from GMS after 37-1/2 years as an art instructor, but did not attend the retirement reception.

  • You know you're getting old when the teachers you had in school start retiring...

I had Mr. Miller for one of my math classes and I had Miss Huggard for art. I had a lot of fun in her class.
