Walk This Way

Monday, June 11, 2012

Ready to roll out for another Wednesday stroll is Amelia Stedman (left), the most faithful walker from the first series of Walking Wednesdays, with her granddaughter and great-grandson, Jessica and Keegan Wright, in tow. Stedman, 83, continues to set a healthy example for generations to come by participating in Walking Wednesdays each week. She missed walking with the group during the winter and early spring, since she goes south for the winter. She has rejoined the program for the summer session that began June 6. This week's walk will be on the "Connector Path" between the parking lot south of the DePauw University football field and the Nature Park. Walkers will start from the south end of the football field parking lot. The trail goes west to the Nature Park. The following week (June 20) the walk will be in the Nature Park, along the Creekside Trail.
