Saturday open house kicks off busy weekend at EOC

The Putnam County Emergency Operations Center will host an open house on Saturday, June 23 from 2-6 p.m.

Apparatus from Greencastle Fire Department, Operation Life, Greencastle Police Department and Putnam County Sheriff should be present to tour as well.

Refreshments will be provided.

From 6-7 p.m., the EOC will host an introduction to storm spotting conducted by local storm spotter Chris Edwards. The session is open to the public.

There will also be an amateur radio presentation on APRS open to any interested amateur radio operator from 7-8 p.m.

Amateur radio activities for field day will run from 2 p.m. Saturday to noon on Sunday. The EOC will host an FCC licensing test session for amateurs at 10 a.m. Sunday as well.
