Local athletes showcase talents in PostYourT.org All-Star games

ROACHDALE -- The few Putnam County participants in the PostYourT East/West All Star game made several key plays for their teams. Unfortunately it wasn't enough to produce a win, as both West squads lost 13-3 in baseball and 8-4 in softball.

North Putnam incoming senior Kyler Badten was 1-2 with a walk for the West baseball team, coached by NPHS head coach Norm Fish.

In softball, North Putnam's Bailey Ault finished the game 0-3 with two strikeouts, a walk and a run scored.

Greencastle's Danielle Thomas was 1-4 with a double and 2 RBIs.

"We're just trying to get the girls seen, trying to make this a softball community," North Putnam and West coach Benny Ault said. "We're trying to keep up with South (Putnam)."

Putnam County was well represented at Saturday's PostYourT.org East/West All-Star games at North Putnam. North Putnam head baseball coach Norm Fish and Kyler Badten (above) as well as Greencastle softball player Danielle Thomas, North Putnam head softball coach Benny Ault and Cougars softball player Bailey Ault all got in on the action and were able to showcase their skills.
