Wilford Dale Niece

Wilford Dale Niece, 75, of Greencastle, passed away July 2, 2012 at The Waters of Greencastle.

Born May 7, 1937 in Lyford, Ind., he was the son of Harry Niece and Nola (Woodruff) Niece.

He married Judith (Williams) Coffey on Feb. 21, 1975, and she survives.

Dale worked as an electrician for the IBEW Local 481 and as foreman for Pearson Electric for 35-plus years.

His hobbies include hunting, fishing and yard work. He was an avid mushroom hunter.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include six children, Kevin Niece and wife Kathy, Fillmore, Jeff Niece, Indianapolis, Karen Cleary and husband Jim, Indianapolis, Julie Tucker and husband David, Indianapolis, Melinda Mishler and husband John, Romney, Jennifer Baker, Indianapolis; two stepchildren, Robyn Duncan and husband Bruce, Coatesville, and Shannon Keyt, Greencastle; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, a sister, Judy Smithhart, Indianapolis; and many nieces and nephews.

His parents, sisters Betty Klinge and Jackie Fagan, and stepson Kelly R. Coffey, preceded him in death.

As per Dale's request, cremation is scheduled with no services.
