Radio Show tickets go on sale to general public for Sept. 8 event

The Putnam County Airport Appreciation Group has announced that tickets have gone on sale for the Third Annual Dixie Chopper 20th Century Radio Show.

The annual radio show has sold out the last two years running and the group expects this year's show to again sell out. Tickets went on sale Monday, July 2.

Those persons interested in purchasing tickets to the show may contact Ginger Scott at Wabash Capital (call 655-2333 or 720-2236).

This year there are five levels of seating available to the general public: B-17 tables are in the front row for $640; the second row of seating, P-51 tables, sell for $400; the third level of seating, C-47 tables, sell for $280; the fourth tier of seating, now called AT-6, will sell for $30 a seat or $240 a table; the fifth tier, BT-13 seating, is $25 a seat or $200 a table.

Anyone interested in tickets to this year's show is encouraged to contact Scott as soon as possible to assure getting a seat to this year's Radio Show.

This year's show again will pay tribute to local veterans.

Duane Skoog, producer of the program, says he wants to bring attention to female veterans as well. The show is also looking to pay tribute to those women who served on the homefront during World War II.

Performance date for this year's Radio Show is Saturday night, Sept. 8.

Social hour will be from 6-7 p.m., with dinner at 7 and the show starting at 7:30.
