Willard L. Steagall, 94, of Coatesville, passed away July 17, 2012 at his residence.

He was born on Oct. 29, 1917 in Cranston, Ky., the son of Robert and Hannah Quisenberry Steagall.

He had worked as a plant worker for Dow Chemical, formerly Pittman-Moore, for 41 years before his retirement.

He was a member of the Coatesville Town Board for 40 years, serving as president for many of those years. He also was on the Amo-Conservancy Sewer Board for 12 years.

He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, the Masons and an Army veteran of World War II.

He is survived by niece and nephews, Dallas Warner, Tina Brannon, Tom Warner, Jim Warner and William Warner; stepchildren Keith Chicola, Kay Kelso, Kathy Jackson, Karla Gibson and Kristy Childers; several stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by his parents, and wives Reatha Bowen Steagall and Pearl Blackburn Chicola-Steagall.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 21 at Grace Baptist Church, Coatesville, with calling at the church 4-8 p.m. Friday.

Burial will be in Coatesville Cemetery with military honors.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Grace Baptist Church.
