MACKENZIE A. MEYER, daughter of Michael and Brenda Meyer of Greencastle, has enrolled in the College of Pharmacy at Ohio Northern University for the 2012-13 school year. She will be a first year pharmacy major.

A graduate of Greencastle High School, Meyer was active as a class officer and in student council, Latin club, soccer, softball, Key Club, Student Ambassador, drama stage manager, science bowl and spell bowl.

Seven Putnam County students were among the spring 2012 graduates of Ball State University in Muncie.

KRISTI BROWN of Cloverdale earned her Master of Science.

MATTHEW WILLARD of Bainbridge graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science.

CAROL LAFOE of Greencastle graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science.

MEAGAN MURPHY of Coatesville received a Bachelor of Science.

CHRISTINE ANDERSON of Fillmore earned her Bachelor of General Studies.

SARAH MYERS of Fillmore graduated with a Bachelor of Science.

ETHAN GIBBS of Greencastle earned his Bachelor of Arts.

A number of Putnam County students have been named to the spring 2012 dean's list at Ball State University.

Local students on the list include MEAGAN MURPHY of Coatesville; SARAH MYERS and CARA STANLEY of Fillmore; CARMEN CROSS, DEREK DEAKIN, BRITNEY DOUGLAS, BROOKE LEWIS and TIARRA PHILLIPS of Greencastle; and DANIELLE HARBISON and CARLYE MCGAUGHEY of Roachdale.

The dean's list recognizes undergraduates who earn at least a 3.5 grade-point average for 12 or more credits of graded course work during a semester.

HAYDEN DEWAYNE ROGERS of Greencastle will graduate from Lincoln Tech Indianapolis on Saturday, Aug. 4 with a degree in auto collision.

He is the son of Eric and Lori Rogers.
