Cloverdale UMC to take Smart Choice orders Aug. 11

CLOVERDALE -- The Cloverdale United Methodist Church will be taking orders for the August menu from Smart Choice Food Ministry on Saturday, Aug. 11 from 10-11 a.m. in the church fellowship hall.

Due to the current economy, it was necessary to raise the price of the Smart Box and the Convenience Meals by $1.

This month there are several value boxes. They are offering a value box of 10 pounds boneless center-cut pork chops for $30.

Also offered is a breakfast box for $21, a 10-pound box of spare ribs for $34 and a summertime kids' box for $23.

Distribution day will be Aug. 25 in the fellowship hall from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

The program accepts checks, money orders and cash. Participants may also order online at www.smartchoicefood.com using either a credit or debit card. The last day to order online is Aug. 13 at 6 p.m.

All other orders must be made by noon on Aug. 14.
