Tiger Cubs nipped by Cascade

Greencastle girls' golf had three golfers shoot in the 50s, but were edged by Cascade 229-234 Thursday.
Kenzie St. Marie led the Tiger Cubs with a 54. She was followed by Lauren Bridgewater with a 57 and Liz Johnson with a 59. Lokysa Scheuermann shot 64 and Haley Cash finished her day with a 69.
"We came out mentally unfocused and had our worse ball striking match of the year," GHS head coach Brad Kingma said. "It's a shame, because if even one girl played well, we could have won. We will have to learn to value every shot and put any distractions aside."
Cascade's Jessica Smyth was medalist with a round of 40.
