County Jail
Three people were booked into the Putnam County Jail on Thursday, Aug. 9.
* At 12:45 p.m. Angela Marie Sanders, 33, Greencastle, was arrested for probation violation.
* At 3:35 p.m. Cole Thomas Benjamin Cooper, 20, Centerpoint, was charged with probation violation.
* At 7:30 p.m. Tracy Dell, 33, Noblesville, was lodged at the jail for contempt of court.
Sheriff's Department
* On Thursday, Aug. 9 at 6:06 a.m. Glenn F. Doty, 63, Poland, was eastbound on Interstate 70 near the 46-mile marker in a 2000 Ford Taurus when he hit a pool of water. This caused him to lose control and overturn the car.
No injuries were reported.
Damage $2,501-$5,000.
* At 9:12 p.m. Beverly S. Hudelson, 66, Terre Haute, was westbound on U.S. 40 near County Road 800 West in a 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe. Visibility was limited due to heavy rain and cross winds.
Hudelson hit a tree that had blown over in the roadway.
Brandon L. Patterson, 18, Greencastle, was westbound in a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier. He rear-ended Hudelson's vehicle and also struck the tree.
No injuries were reported.
Damage $5,001-$10,000.
