Clovers win 5-set thriller over Cadets

CLOVERDALE -- The Cloverdale volleyball team came away with a thrilling victory over Cascade in five sets 14-25, 25-17, 27-25, 22-25 and 15-13 Thursday.

"I am really proud of these girls tonight," head coach Kathy Moore said. "They really showed their character. They played well together and never quit."

Bradanne Toney led the team with 27 kills. Taylor Jones added 12 and Paige Gruener and Adri Patterson chipped in four kills each.

Gruener led the squad in points with 23, followed by Jones with 16 and Lindsay Robson 14. Rebekah Jordan and Bristy Skiles had 12 points and Toney had four.

In the dig department, Robson led the way with 12, followed by Jordan with eight. Toney collected 11 blocks and Patterson added two of her own. Skiles tallied 38 set assists against the Cadets.
