Thomas Edward Willming, 82, of Rockville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012 at his residence.

He retired from Hyster and Tee-Pak in Danville, Ill., and was lead custodian for Mesa, Ariz. school system. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War serving from 1948-1952 aboard the USS Henley.

Thomas was a member of both the Church of the Living Water in Williamsport and the New Life Baptist Church in Greencastle. He was a handyman. He loved to witness to people sharing his love for the Lord with all his heart.

He was born Jan. 8, 1930 in Sidell, Ill. to the late William Willming and Sadie Leona Dowers Willming.

His wife of 51 years, Florence Lucille Craig Willming, whom he married Aug. 14, 1955, died June 27, 2007.

Survivors include two daughters, Betty Lou (Bill) Wallace of Perrysville and Sandi Warren of Rockville; brother Richard (Linda) Willming of Champaign, Ill.; sister-in-law Wilma Willming of Georgetown, Ill.; six grandchildren, William Wallace, Rodney (Erica) Hendricks II, Krystal (Tony) Lows, April (Pete) Appel, Matthew (Kristen) Wallace and Chatell Warren; and 14 great-grandchildren, Alanis, Marvin, Jasmine, Thomas, Rodney Lee, Ethan, Elijah, Rylan, Kamden, Region, Karsyn, Jordyn, Jaida and Adilynn.

He was preceded in death by sisters Alice Ireland and Mae and brother John Willming.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25 in Gooch Funeral Home at 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville, with Pastor David R. Wickens officiating. Burial with military graveside honors by Parke County veterans will follow in Reed's Sugar Grove Cemetery west of St. Bernice in rural Edgar County, Ill.

Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Gooch Funeral Home and from 11 a.m. until time of service on Saturday.
