GHS golf falls to Terre Haute North

TERRE HAUTE -- The Greencastle girls' golf team traveled to Terre Haute North Monday for a match with the Patriots. The hosts downed the Tiger Cubs 192-214.

Kenzie St. Marie led GHS with a 49. Lokysa Scheuermann followed with a 52, with Lauren Bridgewater adding a 55 and Liz Johnson chipping in a 58. Haley Cash carded a 73 for the Tiger Cubs.

"We played well considering the course conditions as the fairways were dead and hard dirt, but struggled with the wet bunkers," GHS head coach Brad Kingma said. "Lokysa showed real improvement tonight by getting much better length off the tee and making some putts. Liz (Johnson) hit some good tee shots, but has to start scoring better around greens."
