Fiesta Salons to host Clip for the Cure event

Saturday, September 8, 2012

On Saturday, Oct. 13 Fiesta Salon in Greencastle will be joining the fight against breast cancer by hosting a Clip for the Cure event.

Fiesta Salon in Greencastle will join more than 7,400 Regis corporate salons across North America for this annual event. To date, Regis stylists have raised $9 million for breast cancer research.

Ten percent of the proceeds of every haircut at Fiesta Salons in Greencastle Saturday will be donated to the Regis Foundation for Breast Cancer Research.

The salon will also be offering additional opportunities for donations starting Saturday, Oct. 1- Monday, Oct. 31:

* Ten percent of net proceeds from all private label product sales will be donated to the Foundation

* Salons will sell $1 breast cancer awareness magnets and exclusive pink bracelets for $12

* Customer and business donations to the Foundation will be accepted at participating salons

* Limited-edition pink products will be available for purchase including scarves, hats and reusable cups

It is through these efforts that Regis Corp. hopes to raise $1 million for the cause this year.

"People can get a great haircut and help find a cure," said manager Kathy Dyar. "This cause is very close to many of our clients and stylists because so many of us know someone who has been touched by this disease and take preventive measures to detect it in its early states. Most importantly, we hope the money we raise will eventually lead to a cure."
