Eagles, Tiger Cubs battle in volleyball

The South Putnam eighth grade A and B volleyball teams battled Greencastle. The A team lost 25-13 and 25-16, while the B team fell 25-17 and 25-5.

Head coach Amy Cassada said her Eagles squad showed a lot of improvement since their first game of the season against Clay City.

"he girls have been working very hard in practice, and are beginning to work better as a team. We had some great volleys against Greencastle tonight," she said.

She said the Lois Cheatham had a great passing game, while Kailee Hawkins and Jenna Carmichael did a great job with serves.
