Cougars compete at North Vermillion Invite

The North Putnam cross country team competed at the North Vermillion Invitational. The boys placed ninth with a score of 193, while the girls' fielded an incomplete team.

Dalton Spear placed fifth overall with a time of 17:56 to lead the Cougars. Trent Mason was second on the team with a 35th place finish with a time of 19:54, while Trebor Mason was 42nd in a time of 20:11 for North Putnam.

Chase Salyers placed 57th overall with a time of 21:57, with Trae Straziscar finishing 62nd in a time of 22:28. Elisha Volland was 65th with a time of 22:35.

In the girls' race, Katie Douglas led the way for North Putnam with a 26th place finish in a time of 24:48. Alex Land was 55th overall in a time of 29:04, while Claire Dean was 57th in a time of 29:38.
