BAINBRIDGE -- The Bainbridge Improvement Society is hosting a Fall into Fitness Zumba party on Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Bainbridge community building.

The doors open at 7:45 p.m. and the event will run until 11 p.m.

There is a $10 fee for the event, which will be run by Zumba instructor Nikki Gilbert.

"This party, I think, is going to be a lot bigger than the last one," Gilbert said. "Word has spread all over."

BIS held an outdoor Zumba party on June 16.

The Fall into Fitness event, held on the first day of autumn, is in conjunction with the BIS fall health initiative.

There will also be stands selling water and T-shirts set by the Bainbridge Fire Department, which is raising money for Capt. Mike Games, who suffered a heart attack this summer

There will also be a donation box for the family of Steven Overbay, a father of two who died this week after being struck by a car on U.S. 36 while working for INDOT.

Guests for the event are expected to come from as far as Bloomington, Indianapolis and Crawfordsville.

Gilbert instructs six classes per week in Bainbridge: Monday at 6 p.m., Tuesday at 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., Wednesday at 5:30 p.m., and Thursday at 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

D.J. Hunter Mitchell will be playing music. There will also be door prizes and a raffle at 10:30.
