Hadley Friends celebrate 100th anniversary meeting

Hadley Friends Meeting invites the public to attend its annual Homecoming and the 100th anniversary meeting on Sunday, Oct. 7.

Hadley is older than 100, but started as a "preparative meeting" under the Amo friends meeting. In 1912, it was made a full monthly meeting.

Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m. followed by the worship service at 10:30 a.m.

Jennifer Silvers, co-pastor of Fairfield Friends Meeting, will speak in the worship service.

Silvers, a recent graduate of the Haden Institute, became certified to practice Spiritual Direction. She enjoys her second job in the Circulation Department of Plainfield Public Library. Silvers also works with and trains service and therapy dogs. She has two sons, Luke and Drew.

Special music will be by Ricky Hayes, counselor at the Salvation Army in Harbor Light in Indianapolis.
