South Putnam takes two from Cadets

The South Putnam seventh and eighth grade football teams defeated Cascade Wednesday.

In the seventh grade game, the Eagles won 14-8 powered by Jessie Robinson's 22 carries for 130 yards. Mason Burgess was 3-for-4 passing for 39 yards and two touchdowns. Hunter Croan had two touchdown receptions and intercepted one pass on defense.

The South Putnam eighth grade won 22-12, with Kieffer Vittetow scoring two touchdowns and a two-point conversion. Kyle Hall added a touchdown and a two-point conversion.

RJ Speedy recorded two interceptions for the Eagle defense.

South Putnam will host North Putnam next Thursday at 5 p.m.
