PCPL 'Conversation with Artists' deserves encore

To the Editor:

On Oct. 5, the Putnam County Public Library presented the finest program that I have witnessed in our community in many years.

"A Conversation with the Artists: Norbert Krapf, Richard Fields and Gordon Bonham" was a wonderful blend of poetry, photography and blues music that had the audience clapping for more.

Barbara Timm, Alice Greenburg and the library staff deserve great credit for creating an entertaining and stirring evening that shows that the library's mission goes well beyond reading and literacy.

I sincerely hope that our community continues to support our library as a vital cultural resource for all. Encore please!
