Charles D. Ottinger

Charles D. Ottinger, 86, Cloverdale, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 at The Waters of Greencastle.

He was born on April 16, 1926 at Zionsville, and was the son of the late Charles Clifford and Emma Florence (Barckdall) Ottinger.

He was married to Peggy Ann (Williams) Ottinger on Jan. 19, 1947, and she preceded him in death.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Army during World War II and a member of American Legion Post 79, Zionsville.

He is survived by his children, Jerene Rodriguez and husband Rudolph, Cloverdale, and Jeffrey Ottinger and wife Linda, Liberty, Ind., and his grandchildren, Jolanda Jarrell, Selena Rodriguez, Kayla Ottinger and Andrea Ottinger.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Laura Eloise Ottinger, and his granddaughter, Tanya Minnie Lou Ottinger.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14 at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.

Visitation will be on Sunday, Oct. 14 from 2 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
