Russellville Halloween Social set Saturday

RUSSELLVILLE -- The annual Russellville Community Center Halloween Social will be Saturday, Oct. 27.

Serving for the evening meal will begin at 5 p.m. The menu will consist of chili, coneys, hot dogs, sloppy joes, nachos and cheese, fish, tenderloins, brownies and drinks.

Registration for the masquerade is from 5:30-6:45 p.m.

Categories for the costume prizes are best character, best Halloween character, animal, prettiest, ugliest, best couple or group, most original and miscellaneous.

There will be 10 winners per category, there will also be one $50 grand prize winner and a $25 reserve prize winner. Winners will be announced at 7 p.m.

This year, the carnival will have several games, including swamp pond, duck pond, football toss, toilet paper toss, ring toss, dice toss and rope a ghost. There will also be two new games, Plinko and Wheel of Fortune.

There will also be an old country store. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
