Norma F. (Surber) Strange

Norma F. (Surber) Strange, 91, Greencastle, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012.

She was born on Aug. 25, 1921 in Alburneta, Iowa, the daughter of Charles E. and Nina Irene Bindhammer Surber.

Norma was a local beautician and a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was an active member of the Amo United Methodist Church, Amo United Methodist Women and Women of the Moose.

She loved playing cards of any kind, especially euchre, and was a creative artist and seamstress.

Norma is survived by her children Candy I. (Doug) Wilson of Greencastle, Fredrick Donald II (Neva) Strange of Cloverdale and J.C. (Rhonda) Strange of Greencastle; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister Diane Webster of Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews; and special friends Bonnie Johnson of Indianapolis and Zora Belle Mitchell of Cloverdale.

She was preceded by her parents, husband Fredrick, brother Kenneth Surber and sisters Betty Jean Wood, Beryl Kendall, Blanche Johnston and Bonnie Mandrell.

Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11 at the Bousley-Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville, with calling from 2 p.m. until time of service. There will be a gathering at Candy's house at 94 Autumn Glen Dr., Greencastle, following the service.

Graveside services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Floral Park Cemetery, Indianapolis.
