I-70 project will close SR 39 eastbound ramps for resurfacing

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced that the resurfacing project on Interstate 70 will close the eastbound ramps at State Road 39 (Exit 59) beginning Sunday evening to mill and resurface the ramps.

Crews plan the following schedule for closures:

-- 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18 to 6 a.m. Monday, No. 19, eastbound I-70 exit ramp to SR 39.

-- 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19 to 6 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, SR 39 on-ramp to eastbound I-70.

The I-70 project was awarded to Rieth-Riley for $7.7 million. The project is scheduled for completion by the first of December.

The work schedule is subject to change in the event of inclement weather.

INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone.
