Coats For Kids

For the fifth straight year, the Roachdale Elementary School community has collected more coats than any other elementary in Putnam County and has been awarded the "Shining Star Award" in coat collections. Executive Director of the Putnam County Youth Development Commission, Linda Merkel (front, right) presented the traveling trophy for 2012 to Roachdale Elementary students Taylor Weddle, (front, left), Jalen Berry and Camryn Albers. Also present for the award were Counselor Dan McMurtry, North Putnam Superintendent Dan Noel and Principal Scott Spencer.
