Steven Allen Long

Steven Allen Long, 59, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012.

He was born on June 19, 1953 in Crawfordsville to John W. and Lillian May Harshbarger Long.

Steven was a member of the Roachdale Christian Church. He was a machine repairman and member of the UAW union in Greencastle. He served as president and vice president and was the union representative for many years.

He graduated from North Putnam High School.

Survivors include four sons, Eric Steven Long of Hillsboro, Josh Allen and wife Jamie, Brandon Scott and John James Long, all of Roachdale; four grandchildren, Sage Douglas, Kyren Wilson, Regan Marie and John Wilson Long; one brother, William Long of Roachdale; and sisters Jo Ann Culley and husband Ed of Roachdale, Mary Adams and husband Bud of Cincinnati.

Following a private family graveside service at Ladoga Cemetery, a celebration of life service will be held at Roachdale Christian Church on Monday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. There will be a time for friends and family to meet from 4-6 p.m. on Monday at the church.

Servies and Morgan Funeral Home in Roachdale is assisting the family with the arrangements.
