Sara J. Gentry

Sara J. Gentry, 66, Bainbridge, passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 in her residence

Born May 15, 1946 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of George and Mary Winings Terry.

She graduated from Decatur Central High School in 1964 and was a hairstylist for more than 30 years.

Always active in her children and grandchildren's lives, she willingly supported the North Putnam Band Boosters.

Sara married Robert Eugene Gentry on July 7, 1982, and he preceded her in death in June 2012.

A member of the New Winchester Christian Church, she was active in mission groups and also sang in the choir.

Survivors include her children, Ron (Kim) of Thorntown, Jeff (Michelle) of Bainbridge, Heather (Bart) of Wentzville, Mo., and Dan Gentry of Indianapolis; sisters Carol (Larry) Lingner of Mooresville, Gretchen Terry of Indianapolis and eight grandchildren.

Her parents, husband, son Don Gentry and brother Robert Terry all preceded her in death.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14 in Baker Funeral Home, 387 E. Broadway St., Danville, with burial to follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Calling will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13 in the funeral home.
