Humphrey's Outdoor Power from Greencastle was recognized for its sales performance during the 2013 Dixie Chopper National Sales Meeting this fall.

Humphrey's received the top honor, the Dixie Chopper Platinum Award, for its 2012 sales performance.

Hundreds of dealers representing Dixie Chopper, maker of the world's fastest lawn mower, flocked to Indianapolis to watch the unveiling of the 2013 product line and preview upcoming incentive programs.

During the awards dinner, a small number of dealers were acknowledged for their performance during the 2012 sales season.

Silver, gold and platinum awards were presented to Dixie Chopper dealers from across the country who achieved predetermined goals. A dealer's performance is based on sales of service parts, accessories and complete mowers.

The various honors are awarded annually at the Dixie Chopper national sales meetings where all dealers will have a chance to earn the title.

"We are proud to work with these dealers," Dixie Chopper National Sales Director Joe Klosterman said. "They represent the best of Dixie Chopper."

Dixie Chopper, based in Fillmore since 1980 with its only manufacturing facility in Putnam County, builds zero-turn lawn mowers from 19 horsepower to 54 horsepower, in 42-inch to 74-inch cutting widths for both residential and commerical markets.

Dixie Chopper products are sold globally by more than 550 independent dealers.
