Museum announces special hours over holiday period

The Putnam County Museum celebrated the holidays with its annual Membership Holiday Party last Wednesday with more than 70 people in attendance to enjoy the exhibits and festivities throughout the evening.

Anyone who would like to visit the museum over the holidays with family or friends, the staff welcomes your visit.

Currently on exhibit are: Doctors and Pharmacies of the Past, An International County, Celebrating the Season, Farming and Agriculture, IBM Looking Back, Airport and Aviation History, Prevo's Department Store, Green Acres County Home, Dillinger's Half Hour in Greencastle, and for a few more weeks, 175 Years of DePauw, just to name a few.

As always the museum has collections of

local pottery and art, as well as other items on display.

The museum will be operating with the following holiday hours:

Dec. 24-25 -- Closed.

Dec. 26 -- Open by appointment only call by Dec. 21 to schedule.

Dec. 27 -- Open 1-4 p.m.

Dec. 28 -- Open 1-4 p.m.

Dec. 29 -- Open 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Dec. 31-Jan. 1-- Closed.

Jan. 2 -- Open by appointment only, call by Dec. 28 to schedule.

Jan. 3 -- Open 1-4 p.m.

Jan. 4 -- Open 1-4 p.m.

Jan. 5 -- Open 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
