Care Package

Many residents know Jim Staggers as pastor of Sherwood Church, Greencastle Police chaplain, VFW chaplain or American Legion member. What some may not know is Staggers can't be with his family this Christmas as he is deployed overseas along with other U.S. service members. The Greencastle VFW and American Legion have collected donations of more than 100 pounds of items to send to Staggers and his fellow troops. Additionally, items also have been collected for Staggers' wife and children. Helping pack the items for shipping are American Legion Second Vice Commander Mike Ford (right), along with VFW Commander Roy Giesen (back, right) and VFW Vice Commander Danny Thomas.
